Data stored on your device
MotoWave stores favorite stations, song history, recently played stations, cached station lists and artwork, and app settings locally on your device.
You can clear song history, station cache, and artwork cache from Settings. Deleting the app removes its local app data.
Radio Browser
MotoWave uses the public Radio Browser service to find stations. Search terms, selected filters, station list requests, station click reports, and station votes may be sent to Radio Browser so the directory can return results and maintain community station statistics.
Audio streams
When you play a station, MotoWave connects directly to that station’s stream URL. The station or its hosting provider may receive normal network information such as your IP address, user agent, request time, and the stream requested. MotoWave does not control those third-party station servers.
AirPlay and Google Cast
AirPlay is provided through Apple system frameworks.
Google Cast uses your local network to discover compatible receivers. MotoWave does not request microphone or Bluetooth access for Cast. When you use Cast, Google and the Cast receiver may process the network activity needed to discover the device and play the selected stream.
Google Cast's SDK declares collection of diagnostic and performance data, coarse location, device identifiers, and product interaction data for analytics and app functionality. Its privacy manifest marks its listed device identifier, interaction, and diagnostic categories as not linked to the user and not used for tracking. These third-party practices apply even though MotoWave does not operate an analytics backend. See Google's Cast privacy disclosures.
What MotoWave does not do
MotoWave does not sell personal data, track you across apps or websites, create user profiles, use advertising identifiers, or upload your favorites, history, or cache to MotoWave servers.
This website
This public website provides product information, support documentation, and this privacy policy. It does not receive your MotoWave favorites, history, or settings.
The site does not intentionally add analytics, ads, tracking pixels, or cookies. If you choose a light or dark appearance override, that preference is stored locally in your browser. The site is hosted with GitHub Pages, so GitHub may process ordinary web requests and security logs under its own terms and privacy practices.
Changes
If MotoWave’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the related app update is released.
